Women Teacher's Day Celebrated in Telangana
Women Teacher’s Day was celebrated across educational institutions in Telangana on Friday. The occasion marked the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, a pioneering social reformer and educationist.
At the Telangana Council for Higher Education, Chairman Prof Balakista Reddy, Vice-Chairman Prof Itikala Purushottam, Secretary Prof Venkatesh, Joint Secretary CS Prakash, and other officials paid floral tributes to honor Savitribai Phule. Staff members of the Telangana Admissions and Fee Regulation Committee also participated in the event.
Meanwhile, at Osmania University, Vice-Chancellor Prof M Kumar, along with university officials and staff, gathered to pay their respects to Savitribai Phule. The celebration highlighted her contributions to women’s education and social empowerment.
