Hyderabad: The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC), led by Dr. Justice Shameem Akther, has instructed Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand to present documents on August 12. This is in relation to claims of unlawful detention and severe torture of a 17-year-old boy.

Daggupati Rambabu, the complainant, accused the Jubilee Hills Police of detaining his son, Daggupati Ajith Kumar Sharma, from December 15 to 17. The Commission is deeply concerned about these allegations.

The victim’s health has worsened, reportedly leading to paralysis due to the alleged police abuse. Since no report from the police has been received, the Commission demands the presence of the Police Commissioner with relevant records on August 12.
