The planned strike by Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) workers has been put on hold. This decision came after successful talks between Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and the RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders.
For two days, Minister Ponnam held continuous discussions with several trade union representatives. His aim was to avoid the strike and find a peaceful solution. These talks ended on a positive note during a key meeting at the RTC JAC Secretariat.
Following the breakthrough, the JAC officially announced that the strike would not go ahead for now.
To keep the conversation moving forward, the state government has formed a special panel. This committee includes three senior IAS officers—Lokesh Kumar, Naveen Mittal, and Krishna Bhaskar.
Their job is to continue talks with the unions and understand their demands. Once their review is complete, the team will present a detailed report to the government.
This step shows the government’s commitment to addressing worker concerns while keeping public transport services running smoothly.
