TGSPDCL Engineer Caught Taking ₹21,000 Bribe in Medak

Medak, Oct. 30: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught Shaik Chand Shareef Bhasha, Divisional Engineer at TGSPDCL, Medak Division, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹21,000 from a complainant.

According to ACB officials, the engineer had demanded money to process the file for sanctioning a transformer to the complainant’s poultry farm. Acting on a formal complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and apprehended the officer while taking the bribe amount.

Authorities have confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine if others were involved in the bribery chain.

The ACB has urged citizens to immediately report any demand for bribes by public servants.
