Hyderabad: The city of Visakhapatnam (Vizag) is getting ready for the Thalassemia Run 2025, organized by the NTR Memorial Trust. This special event aims to raise awareness about Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder.
The run will take place at RK Beach in Vizag at 6 pm on May 8. People of all ages are welcome to take part. Participants can choose to run in one of three categories: 10k, 5k, or 3k, depending on their fitness level.
Nara Bhuvaneswari, the Managing Trustee of the NTR Trust, said that the event is more than just a run. “It’s a call to action,” she said, “meant to spread awareness, support patients, and encourage blood donations.”
Registration for the event is already open. Interested participants can sign up at www.thalassemiarun.com. A QR code for easy registration is also available on posters and promotional materials around the city.
