Hyderabad: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will host a two-day Startup Conclave on April 22 and 23. The goal of the event is to support a strong startup environment and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event is being organized by three Hyderabad-based CSIR laboratories: CSIR-IICT, CSIR-CCMB, and CSIR-NGRI. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, will officially open the conclave. The theme of the event is “Catalyzing Innovation, Connecting Ecosystems.”
This conclave will bring together startups, entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts, researchers, and government officials. It will give them a chance to share ideas, network, and find ways to work together. The event will also promote partnerships between science institutions, industries, and policymakers.
The event will feature keynote speeches from leading scientists and policymakers, panel discussions on new technologies and turning research into market-ready products, and startup pitch sessions. There will also be technology demos and an exhibition pavilion showing new innovations from the host institutions and startups connected to them.
Dr. Srinivasa Reddy, Director of CSIR-IICT, said the conclave will highlight CSIR-based startups and new technologies, especially those developed by the three CSIR labs in Hyderabad.
Dr. Vinay Nandicoori, Director of CSIR-CCMB, added that the event will showcase deep-tech startups working with the city’s CSIR labs.
Dr. Prakash Kumar, Director of CSIR-NGRI, said the conclave will also focus on research and development for important challenges like earthquake safety and better use of natural resources such as groundwater and geothermal energy during India’s growth phase, Amrit Kaal.
