Thieves Steal Rs 60 Lakh in Gold and Cash from Retired Officer’s Home

Burglars targeted the home of Akula Hari Rao, a retired GST officer, in Madhuranagar Colony. They took gold, diamond jewelry, and cash totaling Rs 60 lakh.

The thieves gained entry using fake keys, then broke into the lockers to seize the valuables.

Hari Rao and his family were away in Andhra Pradesh from June 21 to June 24. Upon their return, they discovered the main door ajar and belongings scattered.

The bedroom locker had been forced open, and the valuables were gone.

Hari Rao reported the incident to the police. The Madhuranagar police have begun investigating the case.
