Hyderabad: A special golf event, the Sainik Schools Alumni tournament, will occur from October 2 to 4 at the Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club. This event will unite former Sainik School students from all over India for three days, focusing on sports, friendship, and networking.
Stalwarts Golf is organizing this tournament, aiming to mix competition with community spirit. Brig. D.V. Singh, Director of Stalwarts Golf, mentioned that 33 Sainik Schools are involved, with 1,030 participants aged between 36 and 76.
Y.V. Prasad from Ardee Engineering highlighted the importance of increasing female participation in golf, especially in Telangana. He stated that both men and women are participating, but they hope more women, particularly from Telangana, will join. Golf offers opportunities for building confidence, representation, and leadership.
