Hyderabad – Sphoorthy Engineering College has launched a three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on Introductory Universal Human Values (UHV). The program runs from May 8 to May 10, 2025, and is self-financed, organized by the college’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) under the guidance of AICTE.
The sessions are led by Ms. Ridhi Chirag Sachade as the main resource person, with support from Ms. G. Prashanthi as co-facilitator and Dr. Ishrat Meera Mirzana as observer. All three experts are part of the NCCIP AICTE Regional Panel.
Shri S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the college’s Secretary and Correspondent, along with Principal Dr. V. S. Giridhar Akkula and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Gayathri, addressed the participants during the opening session. They highlighted the essential role of Universal Human Values in shaping ethical and responsible educators.
The UHV concept focuses on improving ethical awareness, strengthening human relationships, and promoting harmony within individuals, society, and the environment. It encourages self-exploration to help both teachers and students find purpose, responsibility, and inner peace.
Faculty members from different departments are actively taking part in these sessions. The goal is to create a more value-based and holistic educational environment that goes beyond traditional academics.
This FDP offers a reflective space for educators to grow personally and professionally, ultimately benefiting students and institutions alike.
