Hyderabad Police have arrested three people for scamming a man by pretending to sell him Mahindra vehicles at a lower price. The accused posed as General Managers at Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited and tricked the victim into giving them over Rs 3.54 lakh. They have been charged under sections 66 C and D of the Information Technology Act and sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

The arrested individuals are Tadi Naveen Kumar, Kancharla Madhu, and Srinivas Durga Prasad from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. The police found evidence against them during the investigation.

The arrest was made after a complaint was filed by V Danie Ratnam. Ratnam received a call from someone claiming to be G.S. Chandrasekhar, the General Manager (HR & Administration) at Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited. Chandrasekhar, who used to be Ratnam’s client for security services, told him about a new factory in Palamaner, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, that needed security services.
