Thunderstorm and strong winds cause damage in Kagaznagar

A powerful thunderstorm hit Kagaznagar on Friday evening, causing significant damage across the town. Strong winds and heavy rain led to widespread destruction.

Many trees were uprooted in different parts of the town due to the storm. The strong winds also blew away tin sheds from some houses, damaging properties. The day started with calm weather, but by evening, the sudden storm changed everything.

In Burdaguda, under the Kagaznagar Rural police station limits, power lines fell onto the road due to the heavy rain and winds, blocking traffic. Rural SI Sandeep Kumar and his team quickly responded, fixing the issue and allowing vehicles to move again.

One of the major incidents was the uprooting of a 150-year-old banyan tree near Pochamma temple in Kagaznagar town. Despite the damage caused by the storm, there were no reports of injuries, which was a relief for the residents.
