Various students who were stranded in flooded hostel buildings in Maisammaguda, Medchal, were rescued with the help of tractors on Tuesday. The heavy rain caused many low-lying areas in Medchal to be submerged. Around 30 buildings were affected, with water reaching the first floor in some buildings. Most of the affected apartments housed engineering students who called the police for help. Police, revenue, and officials visited the area and used tractors to rescue the stranded students and residents.

The students from these colleges have also requested the Telangana State Education Department to postpone the exam scheduled for Wednesday. Many of these students and college staff members reside in nearby apartments.
