Hyderabad, October 27, 2025: The Indian Railways has announced several train cancellations, diversions, and partial regulations as a precautionary measure in view of Cyclone Montha, which is expected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds to parts of South India in the coming days.
Railway officials stated that these steps have been taken to ensure passenger safety and minimize risks associated with the cyclonic weather conditions. Multiple routes, particularly those along coastal regions, have been affected due to the anticipated impact of the cyclone.
Passengers are strongly advised to check real-time train updates on the National Train Inquiry System (NTES) or contact the Railway Helpline before starting their journey. The authorities have also requested passengers to stay alert for further announcements as train operations may be revised based on evolving weather conditions.
The Indian Railways emphasized that safety remains the top priority, and all operational decisions are being made in coordination with meteorological forecasts and local administrations.
