Hyderabad: The Telangana Education Department trained about 1,12,882 teachers to improve education quality and support educators. This effort included 25,356 institutions like government schools, local bodies, TREIS, Model Schools, KGBVs, and URS.
Training took place in three five-day phases using a cascade model to maximize participation. Out of 1,16,084 educators, 1,12,882 completed the training.
Officials stated that 5,605 resource persons led the program, focusing on key areas. These included boosting student learning, foundational literacy and numeracy for grades 1-5, and the Learning Improvement Program for grades 6-9. Other topics covered were innovative teaching methods, assessment practices, digital literacy like AI and ICT, departmental initiatives, promoting drug-free schools, and adolescent safety and empowerment.
