In Nagar Kurnool district, members of the transgender community met with DWO officer Rajeshwari to discuss their concerns. They submitted a petition asking for help to resolve the issues they face.

During the meeting, they emphasized that many of them do not have Aadhaar cards or proper housing. Without these basic necessities, and without employment opportunities, they are finding it difficult to survive.

The transgender individuals asked the government to show kindness by providing them with jobs and essential services. They shared how they often face humiliation and discrimination, with many people refusing to interact with them or allow them into public places. They requested the government’s support to help them overcome these challenges and live with dignity.
