Transgender Individuals to Start Traffic Assistant Roles in Hyderabad Tomorrow

Thirty-nine transgender individuals in Hyderabad have been appointed as Traffic Assistants and will officially begin their duties tomorrow. This initiative is a significant step toward integrating the transgender community into mainstream professions and promoting inclusivity in public services.

The announcement was made after a demonstration program held at the Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC) on Sunday. During the event, the newly trained Traffic Assistants showcased their skills in the presence of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand.

These Traffic Assistants will be stationed at various junctions across the city. Their responsibilities include managing vehicular movement, ensuring road safety, and addressing traffic-related issues. Their inclusion in the workforce is seen as a milestone in providing opportunities and promoting equality for marginalized communities.
