Hyderabad: Tension is rising among the two major parties, BRS and Congress, as the results of the “semi-finals” are about to be announced. Both parties are determined to secure victory.

The main concern for both sides is how to protect their members in the event of a split verdict and a hung assembly. While BRS is confident in gaining the support of AIMIM, and the possibility of BJP becoming the kingmaker cannot be ruled out, the Congress party has sent DK Shivakumar to Hyderabad to handle the situation.

Shivakumar stated that all winning candidates will arrive in Hyderabad by evening and denied rumors that they would be taken to Karnataka. He also mentioned that some people were trying to contact the winning candidates in Telangana, but the Congress party will handle it locally.

Even BRS leaders claimed that Congress leaders were attempting to poach some of their winning candidates, but they believed that their efforts would not succeed.

The Congress party aims to prove the predictions made by some pollsters. They had stated that if BRS wins 55 seats, Congress candidates would form a line outside KCR’s farmhouse. Congress leaders confidently state that no Congress candidate is up for sale and express their belief that they will come to power.

In the event of a cliffhanger scenario, where the outcome is uncertain, the Congress party believes that there will be a reverse migration from BRS to Congress. However, they are cautious as the AIMIM is likely to support BRS and the BJP may provide outside support. Other leaders who will be present in Hyderabad from Sunday include former Union Minister P Chidambaram, MP Randeep Surjewala, and several others.
