The Telangana High Court has given the go-ahead for Singareni elections, which will be held on December 27. The court rejected the state government’s request to postpone the elections and dismissed their interim petition. There are 13 labor unions participating in the elections, with a strong rivalry among the three communities. The nomination process was completed in October.

Previously, the government had asked the High Court to postpone the Singareni elections due to the assembly elections. However, the High Court ordered that the elections should proceed on December 27. All trade unions are now campaigning for the elections.

The current government also filed a petition to postpone the elections again, citing reasons such as the need for the new government to adjust and officials being busy with other responsibilities, including local body elections. However, the High Court deemed these reasons unreasonable and issued orders for the elections to proceed as scheduled this month.
