Drug scandal is causing turmoil in Tollywood once again. There are reports that hero Navdeep is involved in this case. Navdeep has been identified as A29 by the police. The Commissioner of Police, CV Anand, revealed Navdeep’s name in a press conference. However, Navdeep clarified that the CP only mentioned the name Navdeep and not the actor Navdeep. He stated that he has no connection to this case and has not fled, as he is currently in Hyderabad.
In response to these developments, Navdeep approached the Telangana High Court. He filed a petition stating his innocence and requested the court to prevent his arrest. The High Court listened to his plea and granted relief by ordering the police not to apprehend Navdeep.
This recent incident has once again brought the Tollywood drugs case into the spotlight. Several years ago, there were allegations of drug use within the Telugu industry, leading to investigations and interrogations of various individuals. Navdeep’s name has resurfaced in the latest list of names associated with this case.
Recently, Hyderabad Narcotics Police conducted a raid at Madhapur Fresh Living Apartment. Film financier Venkat and several others were arrested in connection with this case. Based on information obtained from those in custody, the police made additional arrests and revealed that some individuals are still on the run.
One of the arrested individuals, Ramachandra, who works in the film industry, provided the police with more names during interrogation. Among them, Ramachandra mentioned Navdeep as being involved in organizing and consuming drugs at a party.
The police attempted to apprehend Navdeep but were informed that he was in Gandipet. As of now, Navdeep is still evading capture along with eight other drug consumers, according to the police.
The Hyderabad Narcotic Police are actively working to apprehend these individuals. Navdeep’s name has repeatedly come up in connection with this drug case. In the 2017 Tollywood drug case, Navdeep had already cooperated with the investigating agencies. However, on Thursday, the police announced in a press conference that Navdeep is currently on the run.
Navdeep, when contacted by the media, denied fleeing and stated that he is still in Hyderabad. Nevertheless, there are reports that the police are preparing to issue notices to Navdeep.
