The president of the Telangana State Commercial Taxes Department Non-Gazetted Employees Association, Mohammad Mujahid Hussain, held a press conference in Karimnagar on Monday where he discussed the issues faced by government employees. He urged the state government to address these problems promptly.

Mujahid Hussain explained that after the Telangana government created new zones in the state, government employees were assigned to work in their respective zones. However, the seniority list of these employees had not been prepared yet. He called for the government to release four pending DAs to the employees and appoint the PRC Commission to increase their salaries.

He also requested that the government carry out general transfers of employees immediately. In some cases, employees who were promoted more than a year ago were still working in the same area. Mujahid Hussain suggested that some employees be transferred back to their original area if their spouse was also working there.

Mujahid Hussain raised concerns about the pending bills for medical expenses and other bills of government employees. He wanted Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao to release funds from the treasury to sanction these bills.

Lastly, he urged the government to make health cards work in all hospitals immediately after retirement to help employees suffering from illnesses.
