The Ujjaini Mahankali Ammavari Bonalu festival began today with lively festivities at the temple. The temple is beautifully decorated, filled with the sound of devotional chants from the crowd.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and his wife, representing the Telangana government, were the first to offer Bonam to the goddess and joined in special prayers. Many devotees have come to Ujjaini to make their Bonalu offerings, creating a vibrant scene at the temple.
Six lines have been set up for darshan, with two additional lines for Bonalu offerings. Special entry for Shivasattu offerings is available from RP Road and the Bata Showroom between 1 pm and 3 pm. Ample parking facilities have been arranged on routes leading to the temple.
The Lashkar administration has made thorough preparations to ensure a smooth and peaceful event. About 2,500 police officers, including Law and Order, She Teams, and Task Force units, are on duty. They are supported by 200 new CCTV cameras.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit the temple today, increasing security measures for his arrival. Various MLAs, MLCs, and other VIPs will also participate in the temple celebrations.
