Officials from the Revenue and Irrigation Department demolished an illegal multi-story building in Madhira village, Sangareddy district’s Kondapur mandal. The structure was built in a lake located in the Qutbshahi Pet area, which falls under Malkapur Gram Panchayat.

The authorities discovered that the building had been constructed illegally inside the lake. To take it down, they used explosives. Unfortunately, debris from the explosion flew into the surrounding area, injuring two people nearby.

The building, owned by a resident of Secunderabad, had been standing for 12 years. It was built within the NTL limits of the Malkapuram Pedda Cheruvu lake. Stairs were constructed to allow access to the building without stepping into the water. The owner’s family used the place as a weekend getaway. Authorities are now looking into what further actions can be taken in the area.
