Illegal sand mining has started again in Koilkonda. A large amount of sand has been dumped near Suraram Bridge.

Diddi Praveen Kumar, a social activist and president of the Nenu Saitam organization, has asked District Collector Vijeyendra Boyi to take action. He wants the authorities to seize the illegally dumped sand, which is worth Rs 30-40 lakh.
