Bageerat, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has filed a complaint in Karimnagar alleging a honey trap orchestrated by a family residing in Kompally. The FIR accuses the family and a girl, who is allegedly a minor, of using text messages and videos to blackmail him with demands for marriage and other favors. According to the complaint, Bageerat and the girl were in a friendly relationship that ended on a bitter note when he refused to marry her. The family subsequently allegedly resorted to blackmail and demanded favors from him.

The complaint states that the relationship between Bageerat and the girl deteriorated after he declined the marriage proposal. Following this refusal, the family allegedly began threatening him using personal communications and video recordings. The FIR registered in Karimnagar details accusations of extortion and intimidation tactics employed by the family. Authorities have taken cognizance of the complaint and initiated an investigation into the matter.

The case has attracted significant attention due to the involvement of the Union Minister’s family. Police in both Karimnagar and Hyderabad are conducting parallel investigations into the allegations and counter-allegations. The contrasting nature of the two FIRs has made the case legally complex, with one alleging blackmail and honey trap while the other involves serious charges under child protection laws. Both investigations are currently underway as authorities examine evidence and statements from all parties involved.
