The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has achieved the top spot in the 2024 Nature Index rankings. It is recognized as the leading university in India and ranks 16th among all institutions in the academic sector.
The 2024 research ranking is based on data from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. UoH scored a count of 60 and a share of 20.10 in various subjects, including chemistry, life sciences, earth and environmental sciences, health sciences, and physical sciences.
Professor B J Rao, the Vice Chancellor, expressed pride in maintaining the first position among Indian universities. He highlighted the university’s dedication to academic excellence, innovative research, and student focus. He promised to continue striving for excellence and setting new benchmarks in India’s higher education research landscape.
