An Indian-origin man, Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury, has been arrested for firebombing a Madison office building in the US state of Wisconsin in May 2022, according to a statement by the Justice Department. Roychowdhury, 29, of Madison, was arrested at Boston’s International Airport last week and charged with one count of attempting to cause damage by means of fire or an explosive. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison. Law enforcement officers collected DNA from the scene of the attack and identified Roychowdhury as a possible suspect in March 2023.
