Nagar Kurnool: A child vaccination event took place on Wednesday at the Primary Health Center in Uppununtala Mandal. Dr. A. Swapna, the medical officer in charge, oversaw the program.
Dr. Swapna highlighted the importance of timely vaccinations, which start right after a child is born. She stressed that the government offers free vaccines for children from birth until they turn 10. These vaccines protect against various diseases, and it is crucial for parents to ensure their children receive them on schedule.
She further explained that children who complete all their vaccinations are more likely to grow up healthy.
Additionally, Dr. Swapna conducted health checkups for pregnant women at the center. She advised them on important precautions to follow during pregnancy.
The event saw participation from ANMs, ASHA workers, and parents.
