Nagar Kurnool: A child vaccination event took place on Wednesday at the Primary Health Center in Uppununtala Mandal. Dr. A. Swapna, the Medical Officer, oversaw the program.
Dr. Swapna highlighted the importance of timely vaccinations, starting right after birth. She stressed that the government offers free vaccines to children from birth until they turn 10. These vaccines protect against various diseases, and it is crucial for parents to ensure their children receive them on schedule.
She further mentioned that receiving all the required vaccines is essential for children to grow up healthy.
Dr. Swapna also performed health checkups for pregnant women at the hospital. She advised them on necessary precautions during their pregnancies.
The program saw participation from ANMs, ASHA workers, and parents.
