Hyderabad: ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) has arrested Telangana University Vice-Chancellor Ravinder Gupta for accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 to allocate an exam center. The officials of the ACB caught him red-handed while accepting the bribe at his residence in Tarnaka, Hyderabad. Ravinder Gupta had demanded a bribe for setting up an exam center in Bheemgal, Nizamabad district. The ACB officials arrested him after conducting an investigation.

In the past few days, there have been reports of corruption in Telangana University. It was revealed that there were irregularities in the appointment of the university registrar. The situation at the university has been deteriorating day by day, which led to the removal of the Vice-Chancellor. Professor Yadagiri was appointed as the new registrar on Friday. The recent arrest of Vice-Chancellor Ravinder Gupta for accepting a bribe has attracted attention.
