Vijay Devarakonda, a popular actor in Tollywood, aims for a hit after his recent films fell short of expectations. He is set to star in a rural-themed movie directed by Ravi Kiran Kola. The film, tentatively titled Rowdy Janardhan, officially started production in Hyderabad today.
The launch ceremony occurred at Dil Raju’s office, with notable attendees like producer Allu Arvind and director Hanu Raghavapudi. This project is the second collaboration between Dil Raju and Vijay Devarakonda, following their work on The Family Star. Keerthi Suresh joins Vijay as the female lead, marking their first time as an on-screen pair despite previously working together in Mahanati.
The movie, announced last year, initially revealed a striking poster featuring a bloody hand with a machete. Dil Raju has brought in a skilled team from Malayalam cinema for this action film. Anend Chandran, known for his work in Premam, will oversee cinematography. Christo Xavier, who scored hits like Brahmayugam, Turbo, and Sooshmadarshini, will handle the music. Dino Shankar is set as the production designer.
Additionally, Vijay Devarakonda is involved in a period drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, known for Taxiwala. He plans to work on both films simultaneously.
