Hanumakonda: On Friday, BRS leader Vinay Bhaskar visited the historical site Aggalayya Gutta along with other party members. The visit was in honor of the International Day for Monuments and Sites.
Vinay spoke about the importance of protecting heritage sites. He said these places show the hard work and knowledge of our ancestors, and it is everyone’s duty to preserve them.
He shared that during the time of KCR’s government, Aggalayya Gutta was recognized for its historical value. The site, which features very old Chinese idols, was developed with a budget of Rs 1.5 crore. He was happy to see the once-forgotten site turned into a popular tourist spot.
Vinay explained that Aggalayya was an ancient medical expert who lived during the time of the Western and Kalyani Chalukyas. His work in medicine and research is an important part of Telangana’s history.
He added that this area was once a hub for ancient temples and traditional medicine. The BRS government worked to restore and develop such places so that their importance will be remembered by future generations.
