Wanaparthy District: On Friday, a significant meeting took place at the Collectorate’s conference hall. District Intermediate Education Officer Anjaiah led the session, attended by principals and staff from all government and private junior colleges. The focus was to evaluate the colleges’ performance.

The Collector emphasized the need to improve student pass rates in these colleges. He pointed out that some colleges have unacceptably low pass percentages, which must be addressed. He also stressed the importance of increasing student attendance and reducing absences. He asked if there were any issues with the facial attendance system for both students and teachers.

Looking at past admission numbers, the Collector noted a decline in some colleges and demanded improvement. He asked for an explanation regarding this drop. Additionally, he instructed that the UDIS portal be updated with all admitted students’ information and that each student should have an APAR ID. He announced another meeting would happen soon and expected progress in updating UDIS and creating APAR IDs by then.

The Collector urged parents to engage in college improvements, similar to past efforts by the Amma Adarsh School Committees. He suggested that parents should pass resolutions for necessary repairs and infrastructure upgrades. If college principals submit these resolutions to engineering officers, the work can begin promptly. He directed the EWIDC engineering officers to expedite these tasks.
