    Warangal: The chairman of Warangal DCCB, Marneni Ravinder Rao, has left the BRS party and joined Congress along with his wife and Inavole MPP Madhumathi in Hyderabad. This move has been expected since Congress won the Assembly polls.

    Recently, the couple has been in contact with Vem Narender Reddy, an advisor to the Telangana Government and close associate of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Narender Reddy welcomed them to Congress at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad and introduced them to the Chief Minister. Marneni Ravinder Rao has been a strong supporter of former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao.

    On the other hand, several BRS leaders from the Dornakal Assembly segment, led by State general secretary Nukala Naresh Reddy, met at an undisclosed location in Maripeda mandal. They are expected to join Congress in the presence of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on March 15.
