Sunil Chhetri, the captain of India’s football team, recently attended a training session of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), a cricket team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). During the fielding drill, Chhetri took a stunning catch by diving full-length to his right. The catch was made in the presence of Virat Kohli, the captain of RCB and the Indian cricket team. RCB shared a clip of the catch on their social media handle, which received a lot of attention from fans. Chhetri expressed his support for RCB and added motivation with Kohli.
Kohli and Chhetri also appeared together at the ‘Let There Be Sport’ Conclave, organised by sports brand PUMA India. They voiced the need to prioritise sports and fitness at a mass level and integrate it as a relevant subject in educational institutions for the development of the country.
RCB is scheduled to play against Mumbai in their IPL 2023 match at M. Chinnaswamy on Sunday night, which is expected to be a blockbuster clash with a full house.
