    The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, gave Telangana state the ‘Outstanding Performer’ award at the World Food India 2023 event. This award was given for the successful implementation of the PMFME (Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme) scheme. The award was accepted by Shri Akhil Gawar and Sushma G on behalf of the state.

    Telangana was one of the Partner States at the event, along with The Netherlands as the Partner Country and Japan as the Focus Country.

    World Food India 2023 is an international event that showcases advancements in the food processing sector. It took place from November 3-5, 2023 and was attended by policymakers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and business delegates from India and other countries.
