Despite the takeover of the state Congress unit by young leaders like A Revanth Reddy, Madhu Yashki Goud, and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnalla and Jana Reddy maintained a good relationship.
During their hour-long meeting, they assessed the potential for Congress to succeed in the upcoming elections. It is worth noting that both leaders were defeated in the previous assembly election.
Ponnalla and Jana Reddy are considered senior leaders in the party, but they have not been given significant roles since Congress lost for the second consecutive time in the 2018 assembly election.
