Wanaparthy: Residents of Wanaparthy are expressing frustration with the municipal commissioner, Purnachander, for not following office timings.

When people visit the commissioner’s office, they are often told that he is either attending a meeting at the Collectorate or in Hyderabad. This has led to dissatisfaction among both the public and government staff, as people have to visit the office multiple times or make repeated phone calls to get their issues resolved.

When someone tries to contact the office by phone, the staff’s usual response is simply, “I will call you back.” It appears that no higher officials are concerned about these issues, which are causing disruptions in the office’s work.

Adding to the concerns, even when the commissioner is not in his office, the lower staff are instructed to keep the air conditioning, fans, and lights on.

The town’s residents are particularly upset by this indifference, especially as diseases like dengue, malaria, and typhoid are spreading. They are urging the Collector and the local MLA to step in and ensure that the municipal commissioner is present in the office to address the community’s needs.
