Hyderabad: Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu played down the presence of Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi at the CLP (Congress Legislative Party) meeting held in Madhapur on Sunday.
When asked by the media about Gandhi’s attendance, Sridhar Babu explained that since the meeting took place in Gandhi’s constituency, the MLA was simply making a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister. He further questioned whether BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao wouldn’t also meet the CM if the CM visited his area.
Addressing concerns raised on social media about the government’s actions and policies, Sridhar Babu stated that the Congress government had fulfilled all its promises. He added that BRS leaders had no grounds to criticize their intentions.
During the CLP meeting, legislators provided key suggestions on how the party could tackle the opposition more effectively. AICC State Incharge Deepa Das Munshi also gave valuable advice on how to strengthen the party’s organization.
Additionally, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed his support for the appointment of Mahesh Kumar Goud, a loyalist, within the party. He believed that under Goud’s leadership, the party would be able to clearly convey to the public that the Congress government was properly implementing all its schemes.
