A 23-year-old woman from Visakhapatnam was found dead under suspicious circumstances at an OYO Hotel in Madhapur, triggering a police investigation into what appears to be a case of foul play. The deceased, identified as Sharon Nikhita Topno, had traveled to Hyderabad with her boyfriend Srinivas Raviteja and checked into the hotel on Siddique Nagar Road Number-5.
The couple had checked into Room No. 303 at the hotel on the previous day. On the following day, Raviteja, accompanied by hotel staff, rushed the young woman to a private hospital in Kondapur for emergency medical treatment. The hospital staff immediately contacted Madhapur police to report the incident. However, when doctors examined her, they declared that she had already died before reaching the hospital.
Police officers responded promptly to the hospital alert and conducted a preliminary examination of the body. During their inspection, they discovered severe injuries and bruises on the deceased woman’s face and head, raising immediate suspicions about the circumstances of her death. The nature and extent of the injuries suggested that the death may not have been natural or accidental.
The situation took a more suspicious turn when Srinivas Raviteja fled from the hospital premises as soon as he learned that the woman had died. He managed to escape without being noticed by the hospital staff or security personnel. His sudden disappearance has made him the primary suspect in the case, prompting police to launch an active manhunt.
Investigators subsequently visited the hotel room where the couple had stayed and conducted a thorough examination of the scene. Police discovered bloodstains on the walls and bed sheets in the room, further strengthening suspicions of violence. Madhapur police have registered a case and are currently conducting an intensive search operation to locate and apprehend the accused Srinivas Raviteja. The body has been shifted for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
