The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to make bus services more affordable for women passengers. They will now be able to purchase the T-24 ticket for Rs 80, down from Rs 90. This will be available for purchase on all ordinary and metro express bus services.
The TSRTC chairman and MD announced that the T-24 ticket was initially reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 90, and has now been further reduced to Rs 80 due to growing demand. The corporation sells around 40,000 tickets per day and hopes that this will increase with the new price cut.
Additionally, T-6 tickets are available for women and senior citizens at Rs 50 per ticket. These passengers can travel in city buses between 10 am and 4 pm on the day after purchasing the ticket.
