The role of resource persons is important for the government’s programs, according to BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar. On Tuesday, the Minister gave sarees to 221 women, including 169 resource persons and 52 VOs. He mentioned that every day should be Women’s Day and that respecting women brings blessings. The honorarium for resource persons has increased from Rs 200 to Rs 4,000 since Telangana state was created. The government is also providing interest-free loans to women.

Before Telangana state was formed, there were many problems such as potholed roads and a lack of drinking water. However, KCR solved these issues and built new roads in Karimnagar. The drinking water problem was also fixed with daily supply in Karimnagar. The Minister stated that people should compare how Karimnagar was before and after self-rule.
