Wrestlers' cause gets support from women's 'mahapanchayat' in Chandigarh

Farmers and Khap panchayats representatives from Rohtak district in Haryana have joined the protesting wrestlers in Delhi. They sent a message to the BJP government while supporting the arrested Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The Sarv Khap Panchayat held in Meham town decided to hold a women’s ‘mahapanchayat’ on May 28 at the newly constructed building of Parliament in Delhi. The day coincides with the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 140th birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar. Women from all over the country will join the solidarity rally in support of the protesting wrestlers.
