The Yadadri Thermal Power Plant in Nalgonda district was inspected by District Collector R V Karnan. The visit included a review meeting with key officials to discuss the project’s progress and land acquisition for the proposed railway line. Genco Director (Projects) Sachidhanandham provided a detailed update on the construction of the 4,000 MW thermal power plant, which has received an investment of Rs 22,000 crore. Two units will start producing 1,600 MW power by the end of this year. The remaining three units will be operational by 2024, adding another 2,400 MW of power to the region’s energy supply.
