Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed sympathy for those affected by heavy rains caused by Cyclone Michaung. During his visit to Tirupati district, he highlighted the steps taken by the State Government, including setting up 92 relief camps and providing rice and groceries to around 60,000 people. The government also distributed ration kits to 62,000 families and will give monetary assistance of Rs 2,500 to each affected household.

Volunteers and village secretariat staff will visit every house within the next four days to distribute funds. The Chief Minister assured people that a program would be initiated to provide seeds with an 80% subsidy to those who suffered crop losses. Electricity has been restored quickly, and efforts are being made to restore power in areas where it is still unavailable.

During his visit, the Chief Minister also sanctioned a high-level bridge costing Rs 30 crore at River Swarnamukhi. Temporary repair programs for roads and small tanks will also be initiated with proposals worth Rs 32 crore. YS Jagan assured the people that the government is theirs and will always work for their welfare. He urged anyone with complaints to dial 1902 for assistance.
