Hyderabad: The State government made significant changes to the positions of several IAS officers on Monday.
Ilambarithi, an IAS officer from the 2005 batch, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Smita Sabharwal, who previously played a key role in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) during the last BRS government, has been posted as Secretary to the Tourism department. Additionally, D Krishna Bhaskar has been appointed as the CMD for TRANSCO.
Smita Sabharwal, who was serving as Member Secretary of the Telangana State Finance Commission, has now been transferred to the position of Secretary for the Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture (YAT & C) department. This move relieves N Sridhar from holding the additional charge of this position.
E Sridhar, who was the Commissioner for Prohibition & Excise, has also been transferred. He is now the Secretary for the BC Welfare Department, relieving B Venkatesham from the additional charge of this post. Meanwhile, Anita Ramachandran, the Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, has been moved to the position of Secretary for the Women and Child Welfare department, taking over from Dr. T K Sreedevi.
Ilambarithi K, who was the Commissioner for Transport, has been appointed as the new Commissioner for GHMC. In his place, K Surendra Mohan, the Secretary for Mines & Geology in the Industries and Commerce Department, will take on the additional charge of Commissioner for Transport.
Chevvuru Hari Kiran, who was waiting for a post, has been appointed as the Director of Prohibition & Excise. D Krishna Bhaskar, who was serving as Special Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, has been transferred and appointed as the CMD of TRANSCO, relieving Sandeep Kumar Sultania from the additional charge of this post.
Siva Sankar Lotheti, who was also awaiting a posting, has been appointed as the CEO of Aarogyasri Health Care Trust, relieving RV Karnan from the additional charge. Srijana G has been made the Director of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development.
Chittem Lakshmi, another officer waiting for a position, has been posted as Director of AYUSH, relieving Christina Z Chongthu from the additional charge. Krishna Aditya, who was the Director of Labour, has been transferred to the role of Director of Intermediate Education and Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Education.
Sanjay Kumar, the Principal Secretary in the Labour, Employment, Training, and Factories (LET&F) Department, has been placed in additional charge of Commissioner for Labour, replacing Krishna Aditya. Dr. Gaurav Uppal, the Resident Commissioner at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi, will take on additional charge as Secretary to the Government.
