17th Ward Councillor U. Shashikala Distributes Sarees to Sanitation Workers

In the town of Aija Municipality, located in Jogulamba Gadwal District, a special event took place in honor of the 78th Independence Day. Smt. U. Shashikala, the 17th Ward Councillor, decided to celebrate this day by distributing sarees to the female sanitation workers of the area.

During the event, Councillor Shashikala shared her happiness in being able to give sarees to these hardworking women. She praised their dedication in keeping the town clean and emphasized the importance of their work, especially on a significant day like the Independence Day.

She also highlighted the need to not only remember India’s freedom fighters but to also recognize the everyday heroes, like the sanitation workers, who contribute significantly to society. Smt. Shashikala urged authorities to provide better facilities and support for these workers, rather than just offering verbal appreciation during special events.
