Hyderabad: The government has decided to improve the living conditions in 2-BHK housing colonies by upgrading basic facilities such as drinking water, electricity, and sewerage. Funds have been sanctioned to address these issues, providing much-needed relief to residents.
Reports revealed that people displaced from the Musi River area, who were relocated to these 2-BHK colonies, have been struggling due to the lack of essential services. In response, the Managing Director of Telangana Housing Corporation Limited wrote to the government, requesting funds to carry out improvement works.
After reviewing the situation, the State government approved over ₹196.46 crore to enhance infrastructure in these colonies. This funding will be used to provide water supply, electrify the colonies, and establish proper sewerage systems to make the houses livable as soon as possible.
The displaced residents had faced significant challenges, including the absence of basic amenities like water and electricity, after moving into the double-bedroom homes. The Telangana Housing Corporation Limited has been instructed to take the necessary steps to resolve these issues promptly.
