2-Day National Workshop on Cost of Cultivation-2024 Concludes at PJTSAU

Hyderabad: The Principal Economic Advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare praised the active participation of various agencies during a two-day national workshop on the Cost of Cultivation Scheme (CCS) 2024.

He urged all participants to apply what they learned at the workshop when they return to their respective roles. He also promised that similar seminars would be held annually to continue fostering knowledge sharing.

Speaking as the chief guest at the workshop held at Professor Jayashankar State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) on Friday, he commended the successful organization of the event. He acknowledged the significant efforts made by field officers, who often work under challenging conditions.

Dhananjay Prasad Srivastava, Advisor of the MSP Unit at the Ministry, also expressed his appreciation for the contributions of all the involved agencies. He assured participants that the ministry would address some of the administrative issues discussed during the workshop as soon as possible.

Dr. P Raghu Rami Reddy, Registrar and Director of Research at PJTSAU, recognized the efforts of the CCS team in successfully hosting the workshop after a seven-year gap. He suggested that future efforts should focus on resolving technical, human resource, and budget-related challenges.

During the event, a team of eight members from the National Informatics Centre (NIC) was honored. Certificates and booklets were also distributed to representatives from the 19 participating agencies.

Earlier in the day, Dr. V Ramya, Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology at PJTSAU, welcomed the dignitaries. The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Nidhi Baranwal, a senior statistical officer at NIC.
