Hyderabad: Two young students from MS Creative School in Telangana, Safwan Qureshi and Imtiaz Affan, have been chosen to join the 14th National Cuboree hosted by the Sri Lanka Scout Association. They are the only participants from Telangana invited to this prestigious international event.
The Cuboree will be held from August 15 to 17, 2025, in Anuradhapura, a historic city in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province. The event will gather 10,000 Cub Scouts from Sri Lanka and almost 1,000 from other countries. The Sri Lanka Scout Association invited the Bharat Scouts and Guides along with other SAARC countries to celebrate Cub Scouting together.
This event is the third major activity for MS Creative School students this year. They started with a local camp at the Bharat Scouts and Guides State Training Centre in Jeedimetla, followed by attending the Diamond Jubilee Jamboree in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, from January 28 to February 3, 2025. Now, the Cuboree in Sri Lanka offers them an international experience.
At the Cuboree, Safwan and Imtiaz will engage in outdoor challenges, cultural exchanges, and community services. They will enhance their leadership, confidence, and communication skills while representing Telangana internationally. Both are eager for the adventure, and their parents are thrilled about this unique opportunity.
Dr. Moazzam Hussain, Managing Director of MS Education Academy, expressed his pride in their achievement. He noted that Safwan and Imtiaz have shown dedication and enthusiasm in Cub Scouting. Their selection is a significant milestone reflecting the quality of scouting at MS Creative School.
