Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime police in Hyderabad have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly harassing a minor girl.
The accused, identified as Aqeeluddin, is an electrician who lives in Aman Nagar, Talab Katta. The police have charged him under various sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The incident came to light when the victim’s parent, a resident of Bandlaguda, filed a complaint on September 7. According to the complaint, Aqeeluddin had been making calls and video calls to the minor girl using the Snapchat app. During one of these video calls, he allegedly recorded her private video and later shared it on the app.
After receiving the complaint, the Cyber Crime police quickly traced the accused. Aqeeluddin was arrested and brought before the court, where he was remanded into custody.
